Dave Neer
Owner Dave Neer, owner of Solomon's Garage, grew up on the Neer family farm right outside West Liberty. At 16 years old he purchased his first clunker, an ’86 Jeep Cherokee, that had a blown head gasket. He worked many hours to repair it with his father, Phil, and older brother, Patrick, and with that was born his love of car repair. After graduating from WLS in 2000, he then decided to attend Lincoln Technical Institute in Indianapolis for an Associates Degree in Automotive Technology, where he was recruited by BMW of North America to attend their technician training program.. He soon landed his dream job as a technician at Dreyer & Reinbold BMW in Indianapolis and worked there for a decade. In January 2012, he made his ultimate dream of owning an auto repair shop a reality and opened Solomon's Garage on his family’s farm with his wife, Katie. After building the business for several years and taking on a few employees, Dave & Katie purchased the current location in downtown West Liberty. Dave works as the shop foreman and lead diagnostic technician, apprenticing new technicians. |
Katie Neer
Owner Katie Neer, owner and service writer, is the smiling face behind our front counter. She writes all work orders, estimates and sells repairs to customers, orders parts and any and all other front counter work here at the shop. Katie started working full time in Solomon’s Garage with Dave in 2013, when the business was just a year old. Katie also comes from a long line of local farmers, on both sides of her family. She and Dave were high school sweethearts and she followed him to Indiana when they graduated. She attended Purdue University and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering in 2005. She worked in that industry for a time, but quickly decided to leave that path and start a family with Dave, and pursue their dream of opening the shop. Katie enjoys being a mother to their two kids, Levi and Sadie, and working on the management, finances, and marketing in the office, as well as being involved in the West Liberty Business Association community events. Since Katie joined the business, the business has grown, and our reputation for excellence has grown with it. We're proud of the many glowing reviews we get, the loyalty of our customers and our commitment to our community. We love being back home, and we love being West Central Ohio's most trusted auto repair business. |
Jerrod Yoder
Technician Jerrod Yoder joined our team as an Automotive Technician in 2020. He was born and raised here in the West Liberty area. He has always enjoyed tinkering, taking things apart and putting them back together. His favorite part of being a mechanic is "Winning. Against the car. I enjoy the feeling of figuring out the problem. I also enjoy seeing progress, seeing a car leave better than it came." Outside of work he enjoys the outdoors; hunting, fishing, shooting, riding motorcycles and ATVs. His words of wisdom include, "Be patient, don't be afraid to ask questions and learn."

Brian Chrencik

Brian loves the feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment he gets when he is able to help people out with their cars. Outside of work, Brian enjoys hunting, firearms and music.

Bud Tomlinson
Maintenance Technician Bud joined us after his third official retirement. He has worked at Solomon’s Garage just over 2 years as a part time Building Maintenance Technician. He can often be found diligently sweeping leaves and debris off our parking lot and sidewalks each morning. Bud wears many hats at Solomon's Garage from janitor to parts runner, to chauffeur to vehicle delivery driver, and he occasionally fills in the receptionist role. Bud shared some words of wisdom with us recently, "In everything, do your best!," And that is what he certainly does for us.
